About INSTA-IX
Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) are the infrastructure layer that keeps internet traffic efficient. Rather than routing packets through expensive international transit links, an IXP allows networks to exchange traffic directly — reducing latency, lowering costs, and improving resilience.
INSTA-IX was established by INIC Communications as part of our commitment to building robust internet infrastructure in central India. We operate an open peering policy. Any technically qualified network can peer with INSTA-IX. CDN operators, content networks, and ISPs who serve Indian users are especially encouraged to connect — the benefits to end-user latency are measurable and immediate.
