Common Questions from LCOs
Do I need my own ISP license to operate as an LCO?
In most cases, LCOs operating under a licensed ISP do not need a separate license — you operate under INIC's UL-VNO Category B authorization. We can guide you on the applicable regulatory framework for your area.
What bandwidth packages are available for LCOs?
We offer wholesale bandwidth from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps for LCO nodes, with flexible pricing based on committed usage. As your subscriber base grows, bandwidth can be upgraded without changing your infrastructure.
What areas does INIC currently support for LCO partnerships?
We actively support LCOs in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh (MP-CG Circle). Delhi NCR partnerships are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Do I need to buy equipment from INIC?
No. You can procure your own distribution equipment (switches, routers, OLT). INIC will guide you on the right specs and configure it for our backbone. We can also help you source equipment at trade pricing if needed.
What support does INIC provide after go-live?
INIC provides NOC monitoring of your backhaul link, IP address management, and technical support for backbone-related issues. Local subscriber field operations remain your responsibility, but we assist with escalations.
